Who We Are
ABOUT A&G RESIDENTIAL
A&G Residential are residential home builders in Fayetteville, North Carolina who build homes that serve our buyers’ needs and lifestyles. After working closely together for over a decade at one of the region’s largest builders, Wells Alderman and Jamie Godwin ventured out to begin their dream.
With 33 years of combined industry experience, we are dedicated to providing the attention to detail with every house we build.
Wells Alderman
After graduating from Clemson University in 2004 with a BS in Marketing, Wells Alderman started working as a loan officer in Charleston, SC. There he met his wife, Molly, and together they moved to her hometown of Fayetteville, NC in 2005.
Alderman then started his real estate and homebuilding career with H&H Homes where he served as Sales Manager for the Fayetteville market for nearly a decade. During his time at H&H, Alderman oversaw the sale of over 2,000 homes. He credits his time at H&H with helping him grow as a manager and leader in the community Molly and he calls home.
He was included in the Fayetteville Observer’s “40 under 40” class in 2014. Previously, he served as president of the Home Builders Association of Fayetteville and currently serves as a board member for the Fayetteville Police Foundation and Fayetteville Academy. He is also a Deacon at his church First Presbyterian of Fayetteville.
Molly and Wells have 2 sons, Wells and Baker, and a daughter Sally. One of Alderman’s proudest accomplishments was becoming an Eagle Scout at the age of 14.
Jamie Godwin
After graduating from North Carolina State University in 2001 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Jamie Godwin started working as a project engineer. For five years Jamie was involved in large civil and environmental projects ranging from 100k to over 40 million dollars.
Jamie obtained his General Contractor’s License in 2002. As his passion grew for homebuilding, he left his project engineer position to pursue his homebuilding career.
Over the next 13 years, he grew his construction experience while working for large regional builders in positions from Project Manager to Senior Vice President of Operations. During this time, he oversaw the construction of over 4,000 homes throughout North and South Carolina. Jamie was selected nationally by Professional Builder Magazine as one of the top 40 under 40 “Home Building’s Young Leaders” in 2014.
Jamie and his wife, Suzanne, have one son Jaxson, and they reside in Four Oaks, North Carolina.
One of Jamie’s proudest accomplishments is his military career and the lessons he has learned from it. Jamie enlisted in the North Carolina Army National Guard in 1995, and after 27 years, he is still serving at the rank of Colonel. He deployed twice as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004 and 2009), and he commanded the 1-120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team 2016-2018.
